Just a little over a year ago, Austin & Nahda celebrated their wedding at the picturesque Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Although it was one of the warmest days of the summer, the ceremony was held out in their covered veranda which offered a direct view of Lake Nona.

We played a blend of soft instrumentals while the guests were arriving and taking their seats. Nahda & Austin’s parents, the groom himself, and the bridal party entered the ceremony to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love”. The guests patiently waited for Nahda to make her grand entrance, and once they heard the beginning of Schubert’s “Ave Maria”, they knew it was time to focus their attention on her! The couple chose to participate in a candle lighting ceremony, with the help of their officiant & the instrumental of “Our Father’s Prayer”. After they were introduced as husband and wife, we brought the ceremony to a close on an upbeat note with Bruno Mars’ “Marry You”.

During the cocktail hour, we set the mood with a mix of only the best songs from the Rat Pack. Mr & Mrs Barnett made their grand entrance to Capital Cities’ “Safe & Sound” & shared their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. Shortly after, the guests were seated and served a plated dinner. After the Best Man, Brandon, and the mother of the bride, Alba’s toasts, the bride and groom shared special dances with their mothers. Nahda danced to Marisela’s “Tu Mi Nina” with her mom, and Austin danced to Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” with his mom.

We opened the dance floor with crowd favorites of Colombian Cumbias, Colombian and Puerto Rican style Salsas, and Merengues. We also played lots of Top 40 Dance songs and Love Songs, being sure to also include all the group dances to keep the guests on the dance floor!

The couple cut their cake to Marvin Gaye’s “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You”. Then we went right back to open dance floor time, before closing off the night with Carlos Vives’ “Fruta Fresca”.
