Maldonado Wedding – Crystal Ballroom on the Lake

We recently had the pleasure of being a part of this beautiful’s couple’s marriage celebration. Nikki being from Long Island and Joel being from Pennsylvania, DJ Andy was a perfect match for their wedding. He knew exactly what music genres would be their family’s favorites.

For the Groom & Groomsmen entrance, they decided on the “Ric Flair” theme song, as an homage to the groom and his twin brother’s love for wrestling since boyhood. The bridesmaids’ entered to Beyonce’s “Love on Top” to preface Nikki’s grand entrance to Leona Lewis’ “A Moment Like This”. Her pastor shared special words with her before allowing her father to escort her to the altar to meet with her soon-to-be husband. Their loved one, Chrissy, sang a special song to narrate their unique unity cord ceremony. And Chris Brown’s “Forever” was their chosen recessional song.

We played Daville’s “Always On My Mind” while the guests were finding their seats. When it was time to introduce the bridal party, we played a mix of Don Omar’s “Dile” and Buju Banton’s “Champion”. To hype up the crowd for Mr & Mrs Maldonado’s grand entrance, we played Elephant Man’s “Pon de River, Pon de Bank” shortly before they shared their first dance to “Unconditional Love” by Jah Cure and “No Letting Go” by Wayne Wonder. Nikki danced with her father, Lenny, to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle.

After the buffet style dinner & a heartfelt toast by the bride’s father, we opened the dance floor with some Classic R&B, Dancehall Reggae and Freestyle music. We took a break for cake cutting to Maverick City Music’s “Most Beautiful / So In Love”, followed by bouquet toss to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. We opened the dance floor again for some more clean reggaeton, bachata and merengue favorites before ending with Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September”.
